In Memory

Ashley Morris

Ashley Morris was born on October 20, 1963 and died at the age of 44 on April 2, 2008 of heart failure.  Ashley graduated from University of Mississippi with a bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science and later from Tulane University with a PhD.  Ashley was an assistant professor at DePaul from 2000 until his death.  His life after Tate was facinating, full of adventures.  Ashley was survived by his wife, Hana, and his daughters, Katerina and Annabel.

Ashley was always a bigger than life character that was loved by all who called him friend.

 

Rodney Powell

Rodney Powell was born on October 18, 1963 and died at the age of 38 on June 11, 2002 after a courageous battle with leukemia.  Rodney earned a bachelor's and master's degrees in engineering and work for the government at Eglin Air Force Base.   Rodney was survived by his parents and sister, Beverly.

Rodney will be remembered for his faith and compassion.

Shawn Harris

Shawn Harris was born oon May 28, 1963 and died at the age of 37 on December 7, 2000.  Shawn was living in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at the time of his death.  Shawn was survived by his fiance', Tammy Beals, a daughter, Lauren Harris, his parents, James and Lois Harris, and his siblings; James Harris, Debra Harris Bass, and Pamela Boe.

Shawn was a member of the Showband of the South all four years at Tate, as well as the Speech and Drama Clubs.

 

June Ross (Eye)

Junmi Eye Ross was born in 1962 and died at the age of 44 on July 8, 2006.  Junmi and her husband were residents of Gulf Breeze, Florida and avid runners.  Junmi was training for a marathon when she passed.  

Junmi was an excellet student at Tate being a member of A-B Honor Roll all four years, along with numerous other academic and artistic achievements. 

Junmi was loved by her classmates and very gracious to others.

Scott Joyner

Scott Joyner was born on November 19, 1962 and died at the age of 24, on June 12, 1987.  Scott was a native and lifelong resident of Pensacola.  He was survived by his parents, Herbert and Eleanor Joyner and his three sisters; Sandra Higginbotham, Nancy Gallagher and Leigh McNair.

Scott will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and kindness.
